Critical thinking
Evaluate information, examine possibilities and reach a conclusion you can defend.
Curriculum / NanoSkool
Six skills every school claims to build. The difference is whether they are assessed or assumed.
01 — The six
01
Evaluate information, examine possibilities and reach a conclusion you can defend.
02
Approach a problem with curiosity, imagination and original thinking rather than a remembered method.
03
Build something with people who disagree with you, which is most engineering and all diplomacy.
04
Explain what you built and why. Grace & Force exists largely for this one.
05
Compare options and choose with confidence under incomplete information.
06
Identify the real challenge, understand the situation, and apply a suitable solution.
02 — Measurement
These skills appear in every school's prospectus and almost no school's report card. NanoSkool treats that gap as the actual problem.
ThinkQuest assesses them directly through competency-based questions. Grace & Force scores communication against a published 100-mark rubric. Robotics projects are marked on process and reasoning, not just whether the robot moved. Parents and school leadership get evidence rather than assurance.
